    I think the 1.0 K11 is group 7 insurance, and the 1.3 group 9 which is pretty high. You'd think the 1.0 would be a 2 or 3! My fiancee's MX-5 is only group 12. It's all a rip-off mind.

    Are 1.3's getting rare

    When I bought mine back in October, there weren't very many within 60 miles of me that were being sold privately. Most were from dealers, who I avoided after the first 3 I looked at from different dealers were rubbish and nothing like their adverts.

    Did K11's come with a locking petrol cap?

    My K11 Inspiration has a flimsy plastic fuel cap. It doesn't even screw in tight, you just push it and give it a little turn. The reason I ask is that it doesn't seem very secure. Looking on eBay the only locking caps are for K10's. Anyone managed to source a locking cap?

    Thanks, found it. Will give it a clean tonight with WD40 although it looks okay. Whereabouts is the wiper relay? I may swap that if cleaning the plug doesn't cure it.

    Boot release cable

    Did anyone attempt this? I have a petrol release catch but not the boot. I also have a live wire running to the boot from an old CD changer install.

    Is this connector easy to access? I might have a look lunchtime as my wipers don't complete on intermittent, they stop half way then restart again, then stop, then start, never properly completing a full cycle.

    When I bought my K11, the spare wheel wasn't sitting level in the boot as it's resting on the jack and tool bag. How do they all fit together neatly in the boot so the carpet lays down flat? Oh, and if anyone has a decent boot carpet please let me know. On eBay they are over 20 quid!

    Hey Polly, I went to my local Nissan dealer this lunchtime to find out the price of the bush on the universal joint. They told me it only comes with the whole rod and costs £74+VAT.     Okay thanks for the advice so far. I did some testing driving home tonight. I've now found that when trying to change down and it's stiff, if I wiggle the gearstick (rather than just pull hard), it's slots into gear. It feels as if something isn't quite aligned, and wiggling the stick either...

    The other problem I have with the gearstick is that in neutral although it springs back to between 3rd and 4th if you let go of it between 5th and reverse, it doesn't if you let go between 1st and 2nd. It stays where it is. Could this be part of the same problem?
