ok, I've checked for the cost of getting the head skimmed and I'm gonna go with it. So you've got a deal with £50 all together. The easiest thing for me would be to collect them on sunday the 28th and pay cash as I'm gonna be in the area. But if you need them gone or you need the money before...

don't know about that one specifically, but if they're all pretty much the same you'll have to splice 4 wires. there'll likely be an ignition live, an earth, lights and a feed from the coil. The first 3 can be scotch locked from inside the cabin somewhere (use a haynes manual if you have one)...

athmene28, can't give you a very good explanation, but its pretty much when a small amount of material is skimmed off the cylinder head, which increases the compression ratio, which increases the power. If you want a better explanation search on the internet and there'll be one somewhere

yeah. wouldn't know how much you'd be charged for it, someone else might be able to tell you, but places do touch up paintwork. or you could do it youself, but I doubt that would look as good. that's about as far as my knowledge on this goes, someone else will probably be able to be more specific

quite interested in that head, though it depends on how much it would cost to get it skimmed. will check some places next week. do you still have the head gasket, cam and the reconditioned valves and springs? what condition's the cam in if you have it?
