As with all parts on offer they seem to be a 'small upgrade for so much more' etc, they seem pretty easy to install but 1) is it worth it? 2) will I pass MOT and 3) are they fairly standard or would I definatly get the most out of a K&N/piperX compared to the ebay £30 version?

It will do as a spare for decent few miles but not as a permanent switch 'preciate the offer but im in the middle of nowhere in wales (Y), should be able to get one from the scrappy anyway.

only thing i can think of is give the connection at the back a GOOOOD squeeze, I had to drive home with only the fuel and up to 40 lit because the connector was ever so slightly loose.

Looks nice thyme! Thanks hoodedreeper! I put yellow and red bulbs in at first but their rubbish, no brightness at all, so I changed the fuel, temp and clock and left the speedo with yellow/red so its not too in your face...

I gave it a go yesterday in school but I couldnt get the box with the controls out. I took the faceplate of, and took the headunit out but still no luck. My dash looks like a seventies disco though, really should have colour coded, i'll take a pic later and post it tomorrow

Check it for damage, if it looks a bit shabby, cracked chunks missing just change it, other wise you should only need to tighten it.

I took the car to the mech today to check it over, you know make sure I havn't just been ripped off, and good news is I havn't! Bad news is that theres water leaking into the boot, I've found a hole on the bottom just after the seal but water needs to get in from somewhere first and I can see...

Yeah, NATS square key with the red chip on the bottom of one side. Spoke to my local mech today and he said that it will cost at least £100, he can cut it but he'd have to send it to a 3rd party company to have it programmed.
