It is a known issue. There was a recall on some K12's for issues with the boot lock, whereby water was getting into the mechanism and corroding it. It doesn't sound like the lock itself is at fault, if you can open it from the inside.

Assuming that all of the K12 16" alloys are the same by virtue of the 'smash your head against a wall' 185/50/16 standard fit tyres across the model ranges (N-tec, Acenta, Sport+, Tekna, Active Luxury etc) what other tyre sizes will fit these rims? I believe that both 195/45/16 and 195/50/16...

Have you got a link to these back boxes? A remap is supposed to increase bhp to c. 112. But you hear some horror stories with remaps which puts you off. I'd love a cheap and safe way to more power;)

Hope you enjoy the diesel. Unfortunately it doesn't have 200lb/ft of torque, although it would be nice.

I think I would find it easier and I'd be able to do it more quickly if/when I need to change them again. There is virtually no spare space in the engine bay with the diesel engine in there. I can't remember if the petrol is much different from when I had my 1.2?
