If you're desperate, try dropping motorway speeds to around 60-65mph and allowing an extra 10 minutes. I've started doing this recently during to road noise/not rushing everywhere. Rather be at a place 10 mins later not feeling wound up haha.

Light foot and tyre pressures always help me. Get a solid 38-43mpg mostly driving through towns including stop/start. Taking a new route to University now that's an extra 10 miles but is a consistent 40-60mph all the way, should find out my mpg for that soon.

How the actual hell does it work though? I don't think mines ever moved, do you push it in, pull? I daren't touch mine in case I have to spend the rest of the Micra's life steering it with my nuts.

Haha, yeah! The Mk2 Yaris our family had used to literally drive itself in 5th @ 30mph.

Not lumpy, just a bit of a wobble. I think I used to knock into 4th around 30 for town cruising. 3rd's the perfect gear for accelerating around town and maintaining speed in 4th. Really thinking of getting an Auto on my next Micra, I imagine it'd be a great laugh to drive.

Drove mine back from Bradford, it's particularly wobbly in 4th/5th at around an indicated 30ish, sound about right for a 1.0? It's been like this since I got it nearly a year ago, not enough power I'm guessing?
