i think what cisco means is that on a turbo car (depending on the setup) when your turbo spools up you suddenly get a big lump of forward motion. ie torque, this sudden change in speed will put shock to your drivetrain (gearbox, diff, shafts)correct me if im wrong. oh a little of topic but why...

if you are into this sort of stuff but hate pimp my ride you wanna watch a series called overhaulin'. its all about restoring and modernising american classics. chevy novas, dodge challengers, etc and they do engine conversions with big power outputs. i think the chevy nova ended up with bout...
i think that they are a direct bolt on but im not 100% you will need to get a 1.6 e.c.u. also people have trouble doing this modification if you have an imobaliser.
its simple u with 75bhp in standard trim weighing about 800kg ish and the golf with 90 bhp and weighing over a ton. i know first hand that u can beat a 1.9tdi 90 bhp golf. you have nothing to worry bout. even if he beats u off the line as soon as he changes gear at about 4500rpm you can still go...
yeah i agree hes a tit, but apparently when hes not "on" hes a pretty decent guy who doesnt actually like the cars on pimp my ride. and apparently hes done a whole lot for the rap and r and b scene in the uk.
in general yes bhp is for bragging rights and torque actually gets u down the road but with a micra weighing about as much as a golf tdi's indicator stalk, torque isnt that much of an issue. however with the golf being as big as a house and weighing as much, more torque is needed for the same...
plus u wud have a job gettin everyone with a fast micra going round the same track. the 1/4 mile has got sum driver skill with reaction times and getting the launch rite. theres more to it than people think.
