All of those you can find out with out much difficulty at all by just testing the wires on the two connection blocks by the ecu. That is all mostly separate from the main engine loom.

Have to say of all the ECUs I have fitted and mapped the Microtech range are the most backwards in terms of user interface. (This was an LT10) on a charade GTTI. They really need to make better software for them.

Can you be more clear with what your trying to do? I think the SR16VE engine is eccs. The CGA3DE is bosch motronic the two systems are completely incompatible with each other.

The cars alternator already has a regulator built in. You dont need to add another and it wont benefit you in anyway.

Best thing to do if you want coil packs is to simply change ECU to microtech or something and use a wasted spark system. Ed

Seems crazy to downgrade to an inferiour ignition system for the sake of being able to use the standard ecu.

Your only realistic option is a split charge system and a lesiure type battery of around 50Ah or more..

It is a good book and starts at the basics. down sides are it misses a few bits (or is very thin) and really should be updated since the likes of honeywell (garret) dont use the same kind of values on their maps as is explained...
