yeah, the points corrrectly spaced etc, it idles absolutely perfect, no lumps or bumps just purrs when the car is on the move is when the car starts making weird noises, im pretty sure it could be carb now, as there is a rattle like sound the more throttle/fuel used

okay so i put new points ht leads dizzy cap rotor arm spark plugs oil (which i let get way too low!) now my engine is buggered sounds like an absolute bag of spanners when on the move but under idle it is spot on, can only guess its transmission or carb related, so now the choice has come...

I have lowering springs, with the fronts having 3 coils cut and the rear 2 had absolutely no issues what so ever, ride is alot better and firmer when cut cheapest way? most probably i got gas shocks all round for the pricey sum of nothing :) so just shop around and make your decision from there

mine too is lowered on 35 springs... however i just cut the ######s another 30 mm! dont know if its something to advise but looks alot better!:p

right so. i dont believe its my clutch thats gone because of the fact it selects gear perfectly/ apart from 3rd :glare: it engages but will not disengage so maybe one of you lovely people can inform me wether it is indeed the clutch? or if i need a new box!? cars a micra sgl 1 litre 1986...
