    Baz's £20 K10...

Last night I had far too much to drink at a party in Manchester. This morning I put the remains of my crate of beer into my boot and drove the 45 miles home. I drive too fast at the best of times, and due going round roundabouts too hard God punished me by making one of the cans of beer explode...

    Baz's £20 K10...

Well I'm in a bad mood today. There was a K10 wing in the right colour in good nick in a breakers about 20 miles from my house. When I first saw it I didn't have any tools to get it off and I didn't have any cash. I told the guy I wanted it and he said he would wait til I'd come back to remove...

    My new car :D

Yeah, getting it delivered is expensive, plus no doubt they will have included the price for them to get off their arses and get it off the the car for you. You may aswell spend the money you are saving on petrol and have a nice drive down there, rocker cover is simplest thing in the world to...

90degree drain pipe for throttle body

lol the throttle body DEFINATELY isn't 700mm...that's over 2 foot wide! I don't have a K11, but I'd guess the throttle body is about 70-75mm wide? summat like that. There's a 76mm one, measure your the throttle body first though. (I'm sure if you looked you could find a cheaper one, this was...

    Baz's £20 K10...

haha if only I could work that quick...nah I'm pretty slow about everything I do, it would take me all day to properly do the wheels to the point where I was happy with them I think. Think that's why I would never be any good as a pro-mechanic lol

90degree drain pipe for throttle body

ah right I understand now. If you can't get drain pipe to fit then there are plenty of companies selling 90 degree silicone tube elbows on the web. Obviously more expensive than drain pipe, but if you pay £20 then your paying way too much. You'd also need a couple of suitably sized jubilee...

    Baz's £20 K10...

Cheers Burfy, duley noted. I can spray and have a compressor and a couple of spray guns. I hate spraying, so I don't do it very often, but I reckon I can knock a few wheels out without causing too much damage lol. I find things like wheels easier to spray because you can set them up on a table...

90degree drain pipe for throttle body

Jubilee clip? Forgive me for being thick...what is it that you are trying to do? From what I've read in this thread you are removing the airbox and filter and then trying to stick a 90 degree elbow of drain pipe over the lip of the carb? How come you want to do that? I'm not taking the...

    Baz's £20 K10...

lol! I'm pleased you approve...I think the pics make it look cleaner than it is...there is still some work to do there...and there are FAR cleaner engine bays!! But I'm happy with it at the moment which is all that matters I guess. This afternoon I used an autoglym poduct to shampoo the front...

    Baz's £20 K10...

nah, I used Jizer spray, an old paint brush and a cloth. I did start steam cleaning it, but the steam cleaner I was using was designed fo stripping wallpaper, not cleaning cars, so it wasn't versatile enough to move in and around the engine, so I gave up on that idea. Once I'd cleaned it up with...

My old SR wont start??!?! help needed

I wasn't trying to scare you, I've never put the leads the wrong way round on a battery before so I don't know first hand what would happen, you would think that there would be measures in place in the electronics system to minimize damage when some wally sticks the leads the wrong way round...

    Mum's Micra is losing water...FAST!

I don't have a K11 and have never worked on one, however I assume it would be a matter of removing the water pump, getting rid of the knackered o-ring, cleaning he surfaces, greasing up the o-ring, fitting the o-ring and then replacing the water-pump. And yes, it is just a rubber washer made...
