dont use grease on calipers as it knackers the seals copper slip is the thing to use
With the rears how many clicks is the hand brake on and whens the last time the shoes where checked/changed ?
The clicky thing is the self adjuster and these tend to jam up with dust its worth taking it...

most of it is common sence the manifold is held by 5 nuts that bolt it to the head at the front the back of the manifold is secured by 2 supports 1 either side (undo 2 bolts on the manifold) you also need new gaskets 1 for the front and one where the tb bolts to the back...
iirc the sr has the hr16de lump same as the note.
the plugs are not cheap for the HR as there resistive type, yep the inlet manifold top half has to come off so it may be worth getting some spare gasket(s) just in case you knacker one

the atf should be a dark red, if its brown or got black flecks in it get it changed best way is to get a auto box place to flush it with there machine, as just draining it and topping it up only changes about 40% of the atf (most of the aft is in the convertor and fluid ways)

silly question the frost/cold/snow hasnt killed the battery ??, check the battery with a multi meter it should be around 11.5-12v any lower and the battery will of had it esp in this weather

with the engine off but the ignition on run the through the gears from park down to 1st then back to park do it a few time and see if it will start. if it does its deffo the inhibitor switch. if you google it tis a common fault
have you tryed giving the gear selector a jiggle -inside and also on top of the gearbox) iirc there is a starter inhibitor on the gearbox selector switch ( what sits on to of the gearbox)
the inhibitor is there to stop you starting the car in gear and over time knackering the gearbox
