if its the noise im thinking of, i put DW40 on all my belts and round the alternator and it went away done the same with my brother in laws Almera and the noise went away aswell

yea, im pretty sure ive got them in the right order. ill double check when i get down to the car though if the leads arnt correct then im totally outa ideas once again. its getting a spark, fuel and its got a working throttle body and new Plugs, so why the hell is it not ideling!! :P...

is it on start up? is it there all the time or only when the engines cold or warm? or when you rev the car? need a few more details then the replies will start coming in for you mate:)

went and got another ThrottleBody from my local scrappy and still the engine doesnt want to work Im totaly open to any ideas anyone can come up with on a fix for this thanks

you dont really hear tempered glass smash. it just shatters. obviously theres a fair bit of noise but i dont think its enough to hear inside your house

As Robert said, Kristian has a nice wee ongoing 2.0l T project on the go search the forums for "Little Bandit". Guy called Dave Bull built that and dont quote me but i think he got 430Bhp out of that! Nex knows the 1.6 conversion, another guy called Wide_arched_boy done the 1.6 conversion...

hate to burst your bubble wide_arched_boy but those other bms couldnt have been trying... on a drag strip, the micra would power of away in front in my opinion but on open roads there wont be much chance... its an auto though so you never know lol!

ive beaten my matews 1.3 fiesta on every occasion hes tried to overtake me so im in favour of the micra:)

lol Fraz! yer always on the attack! Near enough any engine can go in any car if you have the time, money and patience but... there are far better engines that you could shoehorn in if you are going to spend that kind of money transplanting engines

Gave booting it a good go last night, had it on the red line in second for a second or two lol! Granted it took an age to get there though. im pretty conviced its the throttle body myself but i thought there would have been a bit of warning if it was that... Slow pickup, Stalling etc...

i took my cone filter of to make sure that it wasnt blocked, looks fine down the mesh aswell and the metal flap inside the Throttle body moves fine The exhaust coughs and splutters like mad when im on the accelerator and as soon as i come of the gas, the car dies and cuts out thanks for...

Booting it up and down the street didnt work as soon as i come of the accelerator it just cuts out once again, any help or ideas will be much appreciated anyone lol??

i can start it, it sounds like a bag of nuts though it would move if i put it into gear and gave it a good hard rev you reckon if i boot it down the street it might clear it? cheers

Ive fitted a new rotor arm, distributer cap, ht leads and spark plugs it starts alot easier, have to keep the accelerator flat to the floor to get it to start though. when its running i get a bit of black smoke, and as soon as i come of the accelerator it cuts out... totaly out of ideas...
