    The only physical differance is the S3 having the larger K04 turbo instead of the K03.... new turbo and a re-map could easely see 250bhp:wasntme:

    Ok the easy way is to use a big G clamp and 1 of the old pads, put the pad on the piston and use the G clamp to wind it back in. Alternativly you could use big pipe grips to press it back in, i do so many at work that i bought a proper wind back tool:laugh:

    I think those are good cars and that you should get in contact with a company called Jabbasport, they did wonders om my mates Ibiza Cupra (very simmilar engine) Thats also the best colour for those mk4 golf's

    Well done mate, my cousin is a electrician and earns a fortune compared to me. I get the same too, friends of friends think i am there personal mechanic... :laugh: Maby i should re-train as a sparky, Qualified in portable appliance testing and basic repair. Recon i should go for it?

    If the door has mooved back then the A pillar is bent back lower down, i would have it jigged to make sure its all square and straight and go from there.

    Thats a re-con kit for the weber carb thats used as an upgrade for the K10 micra, it would basicly return the carb to 'as new' condition.

    I like the CIVIC (92 - 95 shape) and plan to have the VTI version 1.6 158bhp:slm: The shape after that has basicly the same engine too, probably not that cheap on insurance though. Out of your list the 1 to avoid is a toss-up between the grand vitara and the MG ZR.... The Rover K series...

    If you can get them try Osram super bi-lux, i think these are 30%extra jobbies. The only car i have needed more in ended up with 100/80w O.o

    I would recomend TruPart (in a red box with yellow writing) they are really cheap but they are also good and last a good few months, you should be able to get a pair form a local parts shop for about a fiver.

    They should be 18'' on both fronts, mine has a 20 on the drivers side though.

    Manual transmission oil leak

    If the oil is black or very dirty then its more likely to be engine oil, gear-oil has a very distinctive smell to it as you will know if you chacked the level. Get a bit on your finger and have a sniff:laugh:

    Here is the situation....

    I would also say that these products are a 'false economy', they may mask the problem for a bit but the problem is still there. Personally i would fix the problem, as Speedle said Just because the valve clearances have been done dosent mean they have been done correctly.:p
