thats not any uk type spec, so its certainly late k11 japanese spec, or perhaps a varient. what type ecu do you have in the car at the minute? is it the type with the screws on the side or top? year / model

normally i would expect to see the ecu as a direct replacement, some of the more complicated ecu's i have seen however are not this simple, but usually come with a loom adapter, i very much doubt you will be able to get a pin out for the nismo ecu to confirm its standard k11, but i would assume...

can you get any numbers / info from it you can, the issue may be the maf may be a completely different one from the throttle body, have you tried it without a maf? is there any odd bits of wiring loom?

airflow map will need changing, k value will, plus some other limits, if you want to change to sr maf

no need to pull the consult apart, if you had consult cables you get the ecu that way, i wouldn't want it dis-assemble the ecu either!! btw the ecu is the later type japanese k11 type :)

im sure it will, but i don't know if he has access to a consult connector. an interesting point is a have seen a rom with consult code removed

it can be done, but it requires modifications to both the hardware inside the ecu, and the code within the ecu, it is certainly out of reach for the average home mechanic

up to 96 they do not have nats, ecu number 16 does not have nats

micragirl the afm (air flow meter) is part of the throttle body, and cannot be removed

perhaps, i hoped you were in aus, and had a late spec ecu, so i could compare hardware
