Hey Antony, could you possibly give me a link to the sort of paint you need to for doing this? I'm looking at doing my spare one in a different colour as it looks pretty scratched up. Any tips you can offer in regards to going around the lettering etc would be appreciated too. Cheers.

    Smidge's Epic ST Service

How's all this going now, Smidge?? I managed to pick up some timing belt kits with seals and tensioners for about $40 the other day then got water pumps for about $30. Ended up being cheaper than the Figaro dude. Its worth checking ebay regularly as cheap ones seem to pop up occassionally...

Help with puttin an MA on Engine Stand

I need my first bit of assistance. As you can see in the pic below I've got my first three mounting points sorted...but for the forth should I be using the one down the bottom (circled)? I only ask because unlike the others it isnt threaded. So should I just get myself a longer bolt and put a...

    Buying an MA09

Day 1 Well when I got up this morning I sat down and thought out what I was going to need. Once I worked out my list of bits I set out. Ended up taking a lot longer to acquire what I needed and had to go to several stores to get everything. I went out and got myself a cheap engine stand, chain...

    Same size turbos...

Just did some research and a GT15 will remain good up to about 16psi but any more can make it unstable, so would be a viable option. However, going by A/R figures the HT10 is rated at 0.83 apparently and the smallest garrett turbo that's close to that is a gt2554 at 0.80, gt2854s are also 0.80

    Buying an MA09

OK so my mate dropped the engine over today. We've got it sitting on a trolley for now but I'll get it on a stand tomorrow and start to propery dimantle and clean it. Overall for my purposes I'm really happy with it...it needs some love though, has obviously been sitting around for a long time...

    Buying an MA09

Engine just arrived!! It showed up on a truck with some overweight out of shape dude that could barely lift his lunch and had NO equiip to get it off the truck and he never called before dropping it off...so I was at work and my dad who is in his 60's was there to collect it...luckily I have...

    Same size turbos...

Yeah as baz said, google. You dont have to get em from nissan. Lots of companies out there that design their own rebuild kits and ht10s are still a popular model turbo...people still use em on rx7s. Are they good for running 15psi all day?? I've had a brief look at the gt15, 20 and 22 and...

    Same size turbos...

You can still buy recon kits for the ht10.

    Same size turbos...

GT25 then. Faster spool than the GT28 and I dont know that many of the small category turbos would withstand the potential hp of these engines if running 15+psi. Would be safer with a medium size turbo imo.
