    eBay Super S

That's the one. Nice. Never seen that colour on a Micra before. "tinklerbell" seems to want it very badly. Bet it goes for, say, £575. S

    eBay Super S

Nice looking maroon Super S on eBay. Two lady owners. The last one since it was a year old! Bidding up to £410, as of now. If 50 of us chipped in £15 pounds, we could have it as a club project. I get to keep it at my house since it was my idea. The other 49 of you can drive it for one week...

    Dials Dead...

Did you disconnect the battery ground cable before you started "playing around with the head unit wiring?" Could be a fried fuse (something similar happened to me). Check them all, if in doubt. S

    SOLD: K11 Micra with 140,000miles

Thanks. Really gave the wheels a lot of thought before I bought them. Not much choice in 14" but thought the chunky look of the AEZs complimented the boxey look of the car. They look a little like RUVs don't they? Hmm, perhaps a nice set of roof racks. I might put lowering springs and...

    SOLD: K11 Micra with 140,000miles

Mileage is 141,869 now. I don't drive it that much, only about 1800 miles since I bought it last year. Most trips are five or six miles except for JAE this year. It spent most of last winter in the garage. Sure it has its faults: squeaks, rattles and rust to name a few. But, as you say...

    SOLD: K11 Micra with 140,000miles

Well, I won my Super S on an eBay auction last July and it had just over 140K when I did. Something of an under statement to say I took a gamble but I really liked the look of the car and, being a Super, it had all the bells and whistles. The seller told me there where over 40 people watching...

Two Part Question - Part One

Thanks Parrot Chap. I've got which wire is which sorted out and have ordered 16 guage cable from CAD. As soon as it arrives I'll see if I can get it set up. But, just out of curiosity, why not use the factory wiring with the better speakers? It seems pretty lean compared with the DLS wire...

Two Part Question - Part One

Same plug and speaker wires as the complete adaptor has only clipped off with male or female spade terminal ends? Had to order extra wire anyway as DLS didn't give me nearly enough with the speakers. Agree about running the wires. I got as far as the body grommet in the door jamb and ran...

Two Part Question - Part One

Seems as though the best way to do it would be to get a speaker plug from a scrapyard, the brown one in the photo, rather than cut the adaptor wires. Problem, however, would be getting a plug wired up for rear speakers - which I would like to keep (against all recommendations). Only one Micra...

Two Part Question - Part One

Ok then, cut the speaker wires on the adaptor and solder and shrink wrap the new speaker wire to the cut ends of the plug wires. Shouldn't be a problem but you have to wonder why, with components being touted as the best way to go, there isn't some sort of kit to simplify the process. Thanks...

Two Part Question - Part Two

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions. This one has got me scratching my head. Everything was working perfectly before I took the HU out. so I take it out, have a look, take a few photos, put it back in and it's dead. Hu fuse ok, F22 fuse to clock/audio ok - but no clock and no audio. Can't...

Two Part Question - Part Two

(Should have done this one first to get them in the correct sequence.) After I reinstalled the HU it wouldn't come on. Rechecked all the connections and the 10 amp fuse in the unit and the one in the main fuse panel (F220) for the clock and the audio. Both okay, but I replaced them with new...

Two Part Question - Part One

I'm in the process of installing DLS component speakers in my Super. Because I'm bypassing the factory wiring, I pulled the HU (Sony) to get an idea on how to connect the new DLS wiring from the crossover to the back of the unit and I'm not sure how to go about it. I've got an ISO adaptor now...

    LUK Clutches

Standard LUK clutch installed in my Super S two weeks ago: £125, all in. Pedal feel on the soft side but okay for my needs (141,000 on the clock so I don't push it that often). S

    Timing Chain

This link might be of some help: www.micra.com.au/images/articles/nissan-timing-chain-procedure1. If I got it right. Well, that was less than useful wasn't it? When you get to Cisco's, click on Articles. The timing chain article is about halfway down the list. S

    DLS 6.5 Component Speakers

Just bought a set of DLS speakers from CAD. I was going to sound-deaden the doors next but decided on the speakers so I could compare them with the out-going Pioneers. Because I want a stock look, I'm going to use the A pillar trims and tweeter mounts off of a P reg I stumbled over in a local...

How Much Better Can it Get?

Thanks for the suggestions, Antony and Retepetsir. Antony, as I have only had the Sony for about a month I expect I'll be keeping it for a while yet. As I said, the sound, at least to me, is pretty good. It doesn't seem to come from any particular direction, unless I lean forward towards the...
