    Racing stripes??

I would say don't do it. Stripes look good on Ferraris (think 360 CS) and Vipers, but I reckon they would look a bit daft on a Micra. But the choice is yours - it's your car after all! Anyway, if everyone had the same tastes, the world would be a pretty boring place.

    Tonights Top Gear!

It is quite stunning that in this day and age such backwards, ignorant people can exist. I suppose that's what years of inbreeding does though.

why chavs and saxos in carparks dont mix

So I am guessing that the car rolled because of the higher centre of gravity - hopefully they would not normally do that?

    The Kooks drop in

Wahey! The Kooks are playing one of my uni bars in 2 hours time. Nobody knew about it until today, apparently they have just decided to pop in and play. Everyone is skipping lectures, so I will be sat outside in the sun with a pint in hand singing along lol. Not bad eh? And the bar is only about...

    wish me luck

Bad luck mate. You have done the right thing though, sticking at it. Like the others say, drive as much as you can between now and the next one.

    Top Gear Alert

I thought the whole roadworks thing was a bit lame, to be honest. Great review of the Jag v the Aston though, and Hammond's crash footage was incredible. What a trooper.

    Modifiying my K11 1.3L

Lose weight - strip the interior. That's free! Also, after doing the exhaust and filter, try piper fast road cams and a remap.

    Time to say hello.

Hi, welcome to the MSC. Don't know much bout changing the cambelt, never done it myself. Guessing the best place for info would be a trusty Haynes manual. As for the temp, my K11 normally sits halfway up the guage after being warmed up and driven for around 10 mins (up to 15/20 in the cold)...

    My New Car! - D4R73N

Nice motor mate. Don't listen to those who say "but it's a Fiat" etc. Any plans to 'tweak' it? Or is it staying standard? Let us know how you get on with her. JA

    This is amazing!

Well done that man. I am trying to claim back money from the Inland Revenue at the moment and it is like trying to get blood from a stone.

    Removing Back Seats

I did this a while back with my 1.0, and it made only the slightest bit of difference. Hardly noticeable - and this was with the spare, carpets and most of the dash removed as well. Not sure about insurance but I doubt it would affect it.

    The most stupidest person EVER!!!

People like that, don't deserve cars like that.

    Brighton

Creation and Event aint gay clubs!! I was in Creation last night as it so happens, celebrating my 19th birthday. In my opinion Creation is one of the best clubs in Brighton, much better than Honeyclub etc. As for Creation being chavvy, the only fights I have ever gotten into have been in Honey...

    Exhaust System...

If you have to put it in for the MOT with the janspeed manifold on, then it is a good idea to have the rest of the system standard. As Ian says, if it fails with the janspeed manifold on then you can worry about it. Best (and pretty much only) thing to do if it fails would be to fit a standard...

    Exhaust System...

No, as far as I know you don't HAVE to have one - the cat-back and the manifold should go on just fine with the standard cat in place. However, you may wish to replace the cat with a janspeed one anyway, if you are going to do the rest of the system. The car will fail the MOT with the janspeed...

    Will A Flamer Kit Work

Lol, a few months ago I was at a mate's house and we were bored as hell, so we decided to take the exhaust off his ride-on lawnmower and go for a ride. It was dark and the flames were flying out of the little stub of pipe coming straight out of the cylinder lol. The noise was mental.

Theres a rat in my exhaust pipe!!

I have seen something similar to this before. The guy this happened to last time also thought it was an animal but I think he discovered it was some sort of lining that had come loose within the system itself. Either way I would be detaching my system and clearing it out.

    Insurance

Try Direct Line mate. They have been the cheapest for me. When I first passed my test 1 year ago it was £1100 TPFT on a 1996 1.0i. Now I have 1 year's no claims bonus and I am 18 it has gone down to £650 TPFT. This is with me as the registered keeper and main driver, with my parents as added...

    christmas 06

Not the best, to be honest. Although I did get a lot of very nice food - the best bit about christmas I reckon. But hey ho, it's my bday soon! Will be celebrating in style in Brighton with my mates, so there is that to look forward to.
