My (september2000) micra's brake warning light (!) refuses to go out: I've disconnected the handbrake switch, and topped up the brake fluid (and gone for a drive round the block twice to make sure the brakes still work) but the warning light STILL stays on. :glare: The rest of the dashboard...

the CVT is like an auto gearbox so the (P) will activate when the lever is in 'Park' position, if it stays on while driving there's a fault somewhere; no idea where, sorry I can't be more help.

Now I've plugged in the new MAF sensor, I'm going to try the paperclip trick because my engine management light still comes on each time I turn the ignition, even though it usually goes out after about 5 mins driving.

Sad to hear you've been dicked around Eliot, but there's no doubt you'll sell it to someone here soon enough - if I had a spare grand, I'd be making the short trip from south Brum myself !(Y)
