hi, i need to know if my radio live wire is getting power to it, so i realsed i need a circuit tester will this do the job, do you just shove it to the wire and press a button and it tell you if there is power in it...

i dont know, i was fittiing the amp in the time, discountected the negative, hooked all the wires up, my amp ground is on the boot lock hook. so the power wire had no fuse in, so connected the neg back up, getting some sparks from it when i did, then i didnt get no sparks, put the power wire...

so now i am thiking is my wire shot or is it my head unit, is there to know or do i have to spend more money and get a multi meter, mind you if i can get my amp working i can plug my mp3 into to have a music temporay, as i now relasied, negative off, then put in new fuses, then negavtive back...

yep, might find a better ground i got it on the boot lock screw, and i didnt scrub the paint underneath that good, and the headunit does have a fuse at the power, and one at the headunit, the one at the power went which is normal but the one of the headunit unit, a 10 amp blade fuse didnt...

well then it should have an iso, an iso is standard wirrinbg loom that all radios accpect, for the front speakers there should be a grey wire and another one, connect them upto speakers.just connect the wires to headunit, and and for door cards i cant say, got any pictures of the door cards...

So I fitted my amp, put the ground battery lead back on battery and saw some sparks comming from it. Then I put the fuse in the amp power lead, now everying is fuse blown. The radio won't turn on, but thats probably cause the horn and hazard light is blown, and the amps two 25 fuse blown, so...
