At the risk of being taunted for being a smart arse. 14.7psi is actually 1 Atmosphere, but is close enough to 1 bar that people often interchange the two when accuracy doesnt matter.

PSI (Pounds per Square Inch) and Bar are both measurements of pressure. Just different units (like pounds or kilograms). 1 Bar is approximately 14.5 PSI.

You would need to arrange a high pressure fuel pump for the injectors as well... I wonder what the Micra ST uses? Perhaps another model in the Nissan range could donate its fuel pump?

They will be for the K11. The K11 was used in a one make series (the Micra Challenge) as an introcution the rallying and there are quite a few K11 rally cars and places that sell parts for them.

If its any help, I had a K10 carb apart on the bench the other night and it did indeed seem to be entirely sealed. For example the float bowl vents into the carb throat via that big (4-5mm dia) 'pipe' level with the choke plate.

When the points start to get worn I find my K10 runs really badly in the damp. In the dry its fine. Clean up the points or replace them and everything goes back to running perfectly. You said it recently had a full service? Were the points and condensor replaced?

Generally changing the cam on a Turbo engine wont make much difference when compared to the cost. Turning up the boost, intercooling and making sure that everything else is running perfectly (no detonation) will probably give you the biggest increase for your money. As for the gearbox, since...
