A ht lead doesnt just fail after alot of milage. They fail if cracked and spark to the engine instead of the spark plug or just when sheered off.

Did you by any change remove some plugs from the distributor? A bad alternator wont cause a no start.

I just pried them out with a big flat screwdriver. There is some space underneath them to put the screwdriver and pry them out

Stick a screwdriver between the rocker cover and block and pry it up. Most of the time its just stuck on.

The 1.0 gearboxes have shorter ratio's than the 1.3/1.4 ones.

Bad spark tube seals in the valve cover. You can replace those.

Then you need a Nissan consult 14 pin one. Can be found cheap on aliexpres. Try Nissan datascan as software to use one

A simple elm327 will work fine for the coilpack engines. If you have a dizzy engine you need a different scanner.

Coilpack has a different throttlebody. Not interchangable. (also wont even bolt on as bolt spacing is different) And the maf is removable on the coilpack throttlebody so no need to replace the whole throttlebody if its bad. Also the maf cannot be resoldered unlike the dizzy maf. Id start with...

Yes theyre common size bolts. Nothing very fancy. As long as the surface is cleaned properly you should be fine if you use a primer. Its mainly because ive seen people just drown it in penetration oil and getting the whole heatshield coated. So you should be fine.
