It only seems to be facelift ones that it happens on. I think its to do with stuff not being able to fall out the spring mounting as easily. Perhaps thinner metal or poorer quality welding?

As far as the body goes... Rear edges of the sills go, inside and outside Rear edge of floor, seam rusts then flakes off Front floor where it meets the bottom of the bulkhead Inside the rear arches, rust holes inside the front edge is an MOT fail because its close to the seatbelt mounting, rust...

The K11 CVT gearbox has some gears but it does have the cones and a big mad metal belt thingy!

Sometimes if the kickdown and throttle cables are too slack/tight it can cause the car to stick in 2nd gear. When you slow down at roundabouts etc. the car tries to stall but the throttle body tries to fight it causing jerkiness. Might be worth a quick check?

Just cos its dangling there doesn't mean you have to fiddle with it!:laugh: Aircon or (more likely) foglights.

Probably good idea to spend a bit more and get some decent plastic primer. No big flat areas to show up 'mistakes' but small enough not to be a pain to sand down. Should be enasy enough to paint. Like any painting job, the better you prep it the better it will look!
