If you need a spacer for the clutch cable, Ford :oops: Centre nut washers, the captive type ones work brilliantly, Got 3 on the outer cable side of the gearbox cable mount thing, it was either that or get a new cable :rolleyes:

So is anyone here going? If so maybe convoy in?

Also, shocked me a little, this is now this cars third gearbox o_O the one I changed was off a y reg 1l that said it had done 20k found that out after wiping some of the dirt off the top, still had a genuine clutch on it though :confused:

Fitted new gearbox and clutch kit today, drives like a new car now :D Also found that I'm not driving like a c**t now I've done it, See how long that lasts :oops:

I have not actually made her do it before, I have to admit I did get the back out a couple more times on the way home :rolleyes: But when I was just casually ragging her round a round-a-bout and the rear suddenly slides round, I'm just glad I corrected it for the turn off :p the person behind me...

Will do mate, if it was running on only 3 cylinders that's like chucking 1/4 of the engine capacity out the window, You may find changing the spark plugs will help a lot, cause if one was not sparking quite as often it could have become all gunked up with crap ;)

Gearbox on its way, fitting it next Friday, along with drive shaft oil seals since I've heard that the seals don't like being disturbed?

Did you get one brand new? cause if I had known there is a coil pack Micra at the scrappies iirc, could have got one for you ;)
