My finished turbo micra (NW England)

Nice work, do you got an engine bay pic also? Where did you get the 2mm head gasket? I'm still searching for thicker head gasket.

    rebuild intake manifold

This can be interesting :) How did you do this? Is it from a 1.6 engine?

    5th injector setup

Thanks for the replies. The reason I wanted the 5th injector in the first place was when I had replaced my standard 1.3 injectors for 1.6 injectors, at boost the car was running fine. But when the engine is running idle, it was running too rich and the car almost stall when slowly accelerating...

    5th injector setup

I'm controlling the injector with a small pressuresensor. The sensor is connected to the vacuum/boost hose that is also connected to the blow-off. When the pressuresensor reads for example 1 psi positive pressure, the sensor sends a signal that opens the injector and extra petrol is injected...

    5th injector setup

Because my turbo setup runs to lean on full boost (0,5 bar) I've decided to make a 5th injector setup. But after I inspected the MAF of the K11 I was wondering if I made the right choice for the injector... I took a piece of piping and I mounted the injector on it, but in the MAF itself there...

    Watch this.

Wow, those are some nice pieces for the K11. Too bad the shipping to Europe is so expensive...

    Oil/Fluid Question

Standard from the factory there is 5w40 oil in the engine, most dealers and garages put 10w40 in it. I think the best oil is full synthetic oil because it has more protection for the engine and can resists more heat. In my K11 I have 0w40 oil, according the manufacture of the oil it's the best...

    A'PEXI SAFC-II on C13?

I have also the SAFC-II on my K11. Pretty easy to install, I disconnected the ECU wire loom and connected almost every wire on the end of the connector. Just follow the ECU pin layout in the manual.

    2mm Head gasket

A technician here in Holland suggested also new pistons. Price for pistons and rings is about 800 euros. Total price was about 1600 euros including fitting. I thought maybe a thicker head gasket was cheaper, also because I can place it myself. Maybe next year, need to save some money first...

    2mm Head gasket

Because 2mm head gasket are pretty rare or very expensive, I was wondering is it possible to mount 2 standard gasket on top of each other to lower the compression? If this is not possible what other options are available to lower my compression without spending over a couple hundred dollars or...

    Installing auto/turbo timer

Hi, Today I bought a turbo timer from Apexi. Since there are no cable harnesses for the Micra K11, I was wondering how the timer needs to be installed. I know which cables on the timer are for the connection to the key switch, but how do I connect or disconnect the Nats security system from...

Too much pressure in valve cover

Yes, the crankcase is directly connected to the air intake, it is connected just below the air intake.

Too much pressure in valve cover

Hi, Since I have build a T20 turbo on my 1.3 K11 there's too much pressure on the valve cover. There is oil comming out at the gasket of the valve cover. I have found on some other sites that it may come from the PCV valve which is shut down by the turbo pressure. On a N/A engine the engine...

Coolant hose connection for a T20 turbo

Hi, I have a question where to install the coolant hoses from a T20 turbo. The turbo is water cooled, but what's the best place to connect it to? The Hayes manual says some coolant parts are not used when the engine is cold or not yet on temperature like the radiator (controlled by the...

Oil line from engine to turbo

I think i have already found the answer to my question above. There is a sort of bolt which you can remove i think. So that's clear to me :)

Oil line from engine to turbo

Ah, i see, but do you have drill the hole yourself? because there is no hole you can tap the oil from.

Oil line from engine to turbo

Hi, I have a K11 1.3 and I'm building a turbo on it. I have already a turbo and almost my manifold ready (building it myself). I have a question regarding the oil cooling from the turbo, I have read in another topic you can lead the oil from the turbo to the (cannot find the english word for...
