This may sound daft (apologies if it does) but can you push the seat all the way forward recline it fully & take the headrest off, then fold the back seat down. I used to do this on a Renault 5 I had & quite long loads could be carried as the platform was flat-ish & extended to the dashboard.

My 1998 K11 CVT will occasionally do this. All I do is shove the lever forward a bit more whilst in Park or move the lever to Neutral, it'll then start. Not saying it'll work for yours but you could try it.

I bet the resistor card in my heater is a Renault bit - the damned thing just broke :(:mad:

We've had a K11 1.3 CVT since 2003. Lovely little car, the 1.3 is surprisingly brisk. I drove a 1.0 once & whilst not a ball of fire it should be ok for what you need it for. 24k with FSH for £600.00, that's cheaper than walking - providing it seems ok & drives ok, buy it. I agree with davyboy's...

God that's bloody awful, I hope you can get it sorted. Did anyone get the number of the van/ were there any witnesses? If it's a works van report him to his firm, they may take a dim view of it. Not sure if the Police might not want to know too. You're nicer than me, I wouldn't have forgiven...
