saga of the dreaded K12 Boot lock.

D'oh - but at least you fixed it. Once had the same problem with my Pug, the drivers door loom had been crushed over many years, and wires had broken up inside to create an intermittent fault. I'm no good with soldering, so I crimped all the wires together in a staggered fashion and it was...

to buy or not to buy

Well here's a link to some info for the P0011 code P0011 P1611 shows up on various sites for various cars as either a MIL voltage error, or immobiliser malfunction. I found this description: A communication line exists between the Engine Control Module (ECM) and the Transaxle Control Module...

    K12 big problems...

It's always sad when a car you enjoy just doesn't wanna play ball. I had a Peugeot 306dt that was a fantastic drive, but the electrics were shot. Is suggest you find out about paying off the finance early and move on with something newer and hopefully less problematic. Maybe another k12 ;)

    Funky's K12 - The Adventure Begins

So I decided I didn't like having no back seats. The noise from the exhaust and from a wet road is terrible, and the lack of my subwoofer saddened me, so the seats have gone back in for now. I've taken some photos as I put it back together in order to write a how-to on removing the rear seats...

Do 08 plates Nissan Note Alloys fit K12 ?

Yeah they should be the exact same fitment - most Note parts are the same as K12. Wheel Fitment Guide

    Single-Din Dashboard Conversion for a K12 Sport+

I'd phone a scrappy then and get a single din surround off them - I got a full set of vent fascias (left, right and centre) from Aylesbury Scrap Metal for about £40 when my first attempts at spraying them went wrong. Not cheap like a proper scrappy, but a lot easier, and only up the A41 from...

    Remote central locking Actuator/Solenoid

AFAIK it should be the full door latch mechanism, in a plastic housing. It'll be about 5x4x1 inches (guesstimate) and replace the whole unit in your car. And AFAIK it doesn't matter which car you have - if it's a front door latch it'll fit (assuming it's for the correct side of the car!) Give...

    Funky's K12 - The Adventure Begins

Not sure I like this... there is SO much noise in the car now - every rasp of the horrible tinny exhaust, and all the noise of the rain spraying the undercarriage from the wet road. Gonna look into sound-proofing the exposed floor. Also not noticed any change in performance. Well maybe a tiny...

    Anti Hijack feature

Mine's an 03 too, so it's possible they added it to later K12s.

Leaking cam cover. Tips on replacing gasket.

Grab the service manual from this thread Open the file EM.pdf Full procedure is on page 33 to 35. Be sure to adhere to the torque settings and screw tightening order. It's not THAT hard, I found it more annoying than anything on the Primera cos of the number of things attached to the cover...

    Single-Din Dashboard Conversion for a K12 Sport+

Isn't the trim the same, apart from the single din one having a bar across the middle and a trip computer/clock above the radio? In which case, go to a scrappie and get the radio surround. I'm thinking of fitting a double din unit with sat nav built in, and hoping to simply cut out that bar...

    Anti Hijack feature

Right... from the manual. This is all Nissan refer to in the manual as "anti-hijack mode" and I haven't found anything about automatic locks. There is, however, a lock button by the handbrake that locks the doors, so a useful manual version of what you want. These procedures change your car...

    Funky's K12 - The Adventure Begins

Haha! The bolts were very easy to undo actually, apart from one that was obscured by carpet that wouldn't budge. In fact I was a bit surprised they were SO easy, but I guess they weren't about to come loose. The seats are just so heavy! Comfy to sit on in the house though.

    Anti Hijack feature

I'll have a look when I go upstairs (sitting on my rear car seats in the living room playing Batman so comfy for now ;) ) and if noone els has answered I'll let you know

    warninng Disc brakes!

Terrible sadness that this happened, but I have to agree with Josh, I don't believe this could happen in the manner described - how much can a car's brakes cool down and unstick in the short time between getting out of the car and what sounds like seconds later? It serves as a valuable warning...

    A genius Petition

Speak for yourself - My car does 100! :P Plus I'd just love to be able to be on the M25 at more than 20mph for a change.

    Funky's K12 - The Adventure Begins

Finally got my back seats out, and the rear seatbelts. They are VERY heavy - took me some effort and a couple of pulled muscles to get the seats out of the car (coulda done with some help really). Lots of noise from the back now, the exhaust is loud (and raspy and horrible). I need to find a...

Also signed :) A better petition would be to close the M25 to the public every Sunday, for similar purposes ;)

Nissan Micra Acenta 1.4 Auto MPG + Electric Mirrors Question

I also have a manual 1.4 (2003 SE) and get about 35mph with a heavy right foot, about 300-320 a tank. Sadly my mirrors aren't heated either - I've been meaning to look into whether they're an option as I mid that from my primera. Your low mpg could be caused by many things, I'd start with a...
