    Privacy

That's EU law, english law didn't have a privacy statement until the EU handed em down - hence a lot of newspapers were getting sued for publishing peoples names when they were involved with a crime until they argued that it was in the publics eye and interests.

Full Metal Jacket - Forget paintballing!!

It wouldn't be fair to divide it into K10 vs K11 vs K12's tho, I mean us K10ers would just thrash everyone else.... :P Besides which, i'd have to bring my g/f along and she'd just go all GI Janesque and kill everyone :D

    Driving Shoes?

Umm, I think it's in the highway code, but yeah, I was told it's illegal to drive barefoot or in socks too, you have to wear some kind of foot protection to legally drive. Wonder if anyones ever been done for driving barefoot? :D

    Exhaust Question

Just took the car for a quick drive up to reading and back and hit a fairly large pot hole. Basically the exhaust pipe has cracked where it joins the rear silencer. So I was wondering if anyone could let me know if all I need to do is re-weld it, or maybe if something like the halfords...

    Sell the house and buy...

I'd get a private pilots license and pick up a little cesna 152 with a diesel engine, then spend a year or so flying around the world and visiting obscure little places and countries.

new drivers act and smoking while driving?

Actually, a large portion of illegal's do claim benefit - usually fraudulently, for instance my dad got a letter a couple of weeks ago asking him to repay £4300 in tax credits (I think, may have been another benefit) which he has never claimed - turns out someone pretended to be him and claimed...

    insurance

I'm not too sure, but as I understand it if you add a key sector worker (someone who works as a nurse/teacher or for the council) then you get a pretty hefty discount on your insurance.

new drivers act and smoking while driving?

No, I know its a problem all over - my family live in NZ and Oz, and they complain about it all the time. I just hate it when Asylum Seekers are put into a camp in france to ship over here - why the hell doesnt france give em asylum if they're genuine?

new drivers act and smoking while driving?

Slightly off topic here, but whilst there is a large portion of genuine asylum seekers, theres a bigger portion that is here because the UK has one of the 'best' benefits systems in the world, and that's all they're after. The rule on seeking asylum is that they're supposed to stop at the...

    New bus lane

Depends on what time the bus lane operates, and whether they have cameras on it. Near where I live theres a bus lane at the top of the road, and a left hand turn, you've got about 20 meters of lane after the bus lane terminates so you end up with loads of peeps just going into the bus lane to...

Arnold, do you have a NCB? If so how much? I even tried the companies confused didn't do and £412 was the cheapest I could go. Oh, I did check to see how much a thatcham cat 1 alarm/immobiliser would save me.... It made it £15 more expensive O.o

new drivers act and smoking while driving?

In New Zealand you can't drive after dark for the first year, having said that you can get your license at 15 over there. Personally, I think the non smoking thing is rubbish, i'm a smoker and whilst lighting a cigarette can be distracting, if your fiddling for the lighter etc, smoking itself...
