    K11 Top Speed?

You're in the wrong car then.

    Dipstick problem??

The dipstick holder down to the sump looks like it can be removed by unscrewing the nut down the bottom on my engine. Mabye have a closer look at yours?

    K11 Top Speed?

But thats not the answer he wanted. Nex: when you exceed 139mph in a micra some fairies come from the 4th dimension and take you away into the unknown.

    lighter flywheel!!!!

That is TINY. Standard clutch on the australian micras (all 1.3L) is a 180mm unit. The standard clutch on the australian delivered, jap made GA16DE powered pulsars is a 190mm unit. Errol realised how similar they were and decided to make the flywheel so we could fit either a standard micra...

    impul ECU

The chances of the ECU plugs being different is high and good bloody luck sourcing the right ECU plugs as there's bloody dozens of different types !!! Other than that I know there are a few tuning differences between standard JDM ecu and standard UKDM ecu (for the pre-facelift k11 at least)...

    Swift GTI

A good launch will have a gti in the low 8's even high 7's! You can build up a k11 with the same power but the swift still has more performance oriented gear ratios.fwn

    oil-cooler?....

Wont do a thing. Save your pennies and start looking for a new engine.

Car feels unstable at high speeds

Its definately not *required*. Nissan identified this with the lower models by using stiffer springs instead of adding a swaybar. N15 almera/pulsar also have a similar rear beam setup (just instead of a panhard rod they use an auto-adjusting linkage, i think its called a Watts linkage?) and...

    1.3 starlet

I overtook and left a 1994 Starlet GT for dead in some twisties. lol he didn't have a chance. He couldn't believe the micra was naturally aspirated either. :p Phil: some people don't appreciate handling. If they want big power, well yes the SR20 is perfect. If they want to create a lead nosed...

    Swift GTI

The k11 micra actually has a stiffer chassis than the swift. :D Although that has to be expected. The early 90's swift is essentially a facelift of the mid 80's designed swift. Infact this is what lets the swifts down in many ways... Too much power for the chassis and suspension to handle.

Car feels unstable at high speeds

The micra's rear suspension setup is a budget setup. It doesnt need a rear swaybar/antiroll bar. However thats not saying that adding one doesn't help handling performance or high speed stability!

    lighter flywheel!!!!

Yeh they work fine for most people. I think you'd have to be pushing some pretty serious HP to actually stress one. But still lightweight flywheels have been a popular modification for donkey's and its just common place knowledge that a thin chromoloy isnt always the best solution. From what...

    APEXi / Apex ??

Apexi in Japan basically went broke not that long ago. Now they're called Apexera and Apexi is kinda like a line of performance gear. They're still Apexi in the USA, I dunno about Europe. I've got japanese made Apexi sports springs. :p They're not all that bad either. I'm still going to get...

    lighter flywheel!!!!

If you're going with a lighter crank pulley as well, don't go with a JUN flywheel. They are far too light for street use (to start with). Not to mention too thin and are prone to overheating in high slip situations - like traffic and driving around on ice. That lighter flywheel and lighter...

    Oil

Find out what engine it is first. I know the ford Ka here in australia was given a 1970's escort pushrod motor and used oil which resembled a syrup.

    under engine splash guard

I think you might be pleasently suprised at the cost of the genuine nissan timing chain and tensioners.

    under engine splash guard

I'd be very cautious with such a large splash guard. It will most likely affect underbonnet airflow and this may not be a good thing. I know there's alloy and carbon aprons available in Japan for the K11 which are aero dynamically designed to help stabilise the car at high speed and also...

    Courtesy car!!

I had a Nissan Tiida as a courtesy car a few weeks ago. Not a bad car - lacked grip from its horrible toyo tyres though. More grip, rear swaybar and a bit more oomph and it'd be a very nice drive!

    160sr Lsd?

ESP is a bit like ABS. Sometimes it can save your ass and othertimes it can be a major pain in your ass and cause you problems. I'm in a love/hate relationship with my ABS. Trouble is that its about 51% love and 49% hate. Just enough love to keep it and not quite enough hate to remove it.
