Sounds like a broken cable, the girlfriends is the same, have a suspicion that it will be part of the cable in the door joint, (open and closing often can fatigue it or wear it), but easier to check the connections behind the head unit.

Looks like great fun, :). One the mud would be guessing you let the tyre pressure down a few PSI for a start (as a guess), and sure there is a lot of driving involved too, but I have no idea about that!

Picked up a rear shelf with speakers on flea bay for £4.22, to go with the CD player (£10+£5p&p), the nearly new front speakers (standard fit pioneers I had on my 306), and associated cables, just waiting for the aerial adaptor, all to replace the ageing Blaupunkt cassette and one working...

On top of it, the curved pipe is open anyway, so no worries.

Gave it a wash and polish, the first it's probably ever had! The plastic grill part was a lovely matt pink colour, now it matches the rest of the car. Also fitted a new radiator expansion bottle which had a hole in the top. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi there, thanks for the advice, got a new (or new for the car, from a scrappers) throttle body. As for the not switching off. almost spot on, relay to the battery. So all running well, though the accelerator seems a little stiff, though probably just the spring on the new throttle body a little...
