    Accidental CVT fluid drain. HELP!

Haynes manual states Dexron IIE or Dexron III automatic transmission fluid (ATF) We all make mistakes. Take it as lesson learned lol

    Common MOT failures?

Hi Se@n, reference the handbrake. Can a poor adjusted mechanism cause a brake shoe to stick on releasing the handbrake, or would that more than likely be a sticking cable?

    Acc wire

I'm clutching at straws here and I'm certainly NOT an expert, but could it be a dodgy ignition relay? Looking at the Haynes schematics, it does look like a relay connects power to the dashboard. Whether that's illumination only or for unit function, I'm not savvy enough to figure it out :(

    Acc wire

If you can get hold of the Haynes manual for your car, they have all the wiring schematics near the back.

K11 engine jitter under constant load

You could try running some of this stuff through the engine, to clear out any crud and gunk in the system: Wynn's EGR3 cleaner for petrol cars

    Someone that installs springs?

Not sure what sockets you've been using, but for future reference, it's best to use six point sockets and not the multi point ones, to help prevent rounding the nuts. I learned this the hard way :( Six Point: Multi Point:

    k11 2002 Gearbox problem getting into 3rd

Steve, the best investment you'll ever make for your Micra is a Haynes manual. It's got a section in it detailing how to check and adjust your clutch. Other info in it is bound to become useful as you put the miles on. You might find it in Halfords, or you could always scout eBay for a cheaper...

    k11 2002 Gearbox problem getting into 3rd

Does the gearstick have a nice strong spring return to the centre, when you push the stick from second into neutral? If the gearstick return spring is broken, the stick will flap about from side to side and make positive gear changes more difficult.

    idel problem

Clutch not disengaging fully with pedal to the floor, creating drag? If that's the case, then adjust the slack out of the clutch cable.

does anyone know where the air flow meter is?

Yeah, I had the same sort of problem with my Almera. www.mafcleaning.co.uk I followed the advice on the above website and the issue never surfaced again.

    Help antifreeze coolant

I just use this. Mixes with any coolant that is already in the system. Good product in my opinion. Better to be safe than sorry and not use yer mates car specific stuff. Think it's on a rollback at ASDA at mo ;) Prestone Antifreeze/Coolant

    Water leaking?

Hee hee, the environmentalists would **** a brick if we still had that system of dumping coolant on the ground

    another overheating post

Have a good check of the coolant expansion tank. Original ones fitted at the factory, are prone to going brittle and cracking. If it's cracked underneath, it may be losing coolant without being obvious. I literally poked a hole in mine with little effort

    K11 fan

r-reg-sr could be right, might be just normal air flowing through the vents whilst driving. This will happen whether the blower is on or off. Does it still happen at a standstill, on a non windy day?

    exhaust back box

    exhaust back box

Did mine a couple of months ago, and as others have said, rusty bolts will be the biggest problem. I prepared the bolts well in advance, spraying a good squirt of PlusGas dismantling fluid on the bolts. I did this around 5 times, letting the fluid soak in for around an hour each time. The bolts...

    Yellowish Brown Residue around Coilpacks

Previous owner or car dealer may have got a bit enthusiastic with the pressure washer, forcing water past the rubber seal on top. Once water is inside, where the spark plug sits, it would be difficult for it to evaporate back out. The discoloured stuff is just the rust that has built up inside.

    2002 k11 won't start ? Just clicking noise

Had a similar problem with a K11 many years ago. Turned out to be the ignition switch. Local mechanic took out the part from a scrapped K11 ignition barrel and hey presto, all was well again.
