Whats unique about it? (interior, engine, sound system) If its got plenty of aftermarket parts it would be an idea to strip it. Lot of people would be interested in the individual parts if they're different from standard.

How do you tell the difference? My dad reckons it may be in the VIN number. Basically he has a micra GX at work with no roof and is wanting to take the autoblock engine and put it into my car. Which means i'll be keeping the 1.0 gearbox, which im hoping should cope?

Dont quote me on this but a common mod is for people to fit pulsar or other model brakes onto their micras. This may also be the case. If its really close to MOT it may be just as well sticking a standard set up back on and trying to sort out the vented disks issue afterwards.

Bit of advice for your spacer rings, if you decide to smooth them in, when it comes to carpeting stick LOTs of glue on the ring and the carpet, then stick the carpet onto the ring, then use a hairdryer to heat up the carpet and work it round the angled piece, dont try and do it all in one go...
