I never tried 1.4 engine with the 1.0 ecu as I swapped all electric before the engine swap, but I understand why that would be as the 1.4 ecu with 1.0 engine didn't have best mpg and was putting to much fuel in when accelerating but tbf I had a knackered maf etc so hard to tell

Forgot to mention I also drove around with the 1.4 ecu whilst still using the 1.0, it drove fine so must have very similar maps

so I wondering what method people are using to import parts from Japan, I have had a look on yahoo auctions and see some stuff I'm interested in but have no idea how I'd pay for it, or get it here. Any help appreciated.

Well now that the donor car is in micra heaven I have an abundance of parts lying around, all parts in purple and of a three door, I have a drivers door, a passenger door, a tailgate, a wing, some rear lights and glass for the back. I think that's all if you need any of the above let me know

so after chopping up the donor car and getting my 1.0 onto the drive I finnaly had time to fit the 1.4, along with replacing the gearbox, the cv boots, and the brakes. What a difference the 1.4 makes a lot faster than first anticipated definitely doesn't get the credit it deserves.Also cleaned...

I contemplated doing it through the speedo, but does it not take ages? As the hole is small in comparison to the full hole? My plug was rusted shut but eventually welded a 10mm to it and got it of them just replaced it, although could save me in future if speedo is as quick as fill hole. Cheers

What are people's views on the mesh on the bumper? Was contemplating doing it but I'm just not sure. I would do it black as fitting black wheels but I'm torn between mesh or just spraying the grey plastic on the bumper black.

I put my light in the oven for just to soften the sealant, remoulded it and fitted to car, just make sure that it is even and you will be fine

There's the more common light grey one, found loads for sale but never black. I may not have been looking hard enough but to my knowledge the black is rarer to find
