Got it! It was the blue/black line - what I had missed was that the +ive line I was using for power had a blown fuse. Doh!

Does anyone know what the part number for the little grey rectangular tabs that hold up the roof lining are? Had to take out the roof lining to route some wires, and lost/broke some tabs. Also seem to have lost one of the screws for the sun-visor, but I presume a normal screw will work there...

Thanks - yups, was the driveshaft securing nut. Just spoke to my local dealer, they have one in stock for £3, so I'll pick it up tonight as that gets the car back driveable fast. Thanks for replying though :) M.

Managed to damage the hub nut (don't ask how)... Anyone have one going?

Finally got it out. Wahey. Gearbox topped up, but that wasn't what was causing the sound. When "wiggling" (technical term :p) the gear lever left to right (in neutral, engine off) there's a metallic sound coming from under the car. Think it's the link between the gearstick and gear lever... but...
