    D. buy a micra that has PAS, swap ur mods over, sell old micra there's a PAS pressure switch that's connected to the loom which tells the ecu to rev up when the pump is loaded. dunno if the connector plug is included (taped up) on non-PAS looms but if not, then you'll need to swap over the looms.

i went to cromwell for the die cos they were the only place that had em. dunno bout kennedy tools or impact sockets cos the halfords socket set works fine http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_163022_langId_-1_categoryId_165469#dtab

    lowering my micra...

the overall dia would be 556mm, pretty similar to the stock 155/70/13 at 547mm so speedo reading would still read like 3-5mph higher i prefer my 195/50/15 576mm outer diameter cos it revs lower on motorways, correct speed reading, fills the arches better

    lowering my micra...

it shouldn't really affect the overall wheel diameter therefore ride height if you mix the alloy dia/tyre height ratio correctly to maintain the original overall size. eg. i moved from 175/70/13 to 195/50/15 maintaining the overall diameter of 576mm, which makes my speedo reading spot on...

    cusco lower arm bar

under normal to brisk pace driving, no noticeable difference but under fast hard silly cornering there's maybe very slightly less initial turn-in wobbliness but that's prob cos of the high sided sluggish 185/70/13 tires. overall only a tiny improvement i just upgraded to 195/50/15 toyo's which...

hmm interesting tool. i have like 3 sets of tap&dies here. most used is halfords metric set for almost all threads on the car. the machine marts imperial set was a waste of money cos none of them matched the fine steering rack threads (hence brought the specialised m12 1.25 die). finally a...

i measured with verniers that it was M12, in my halfords tap & die set i tested the M12 1.5 die, it fitted initially but soon stopped cos the pitch was incorrect. used a thread pitch gauge in toolset to check pitch. went to a local industrial tools supplier like place to search for this m12...

if 6 sided 12mm socket didn't fit, try a hammering a 12 sided 11mm socket in. if its still not tight enough then try the 11mm 6sided socket. if its still stuck you could try those spiral teethed bolt-out tool or a mole grip or most likely that the bolt thread is seized onto the caliper guide...

    Help ...K11 Front Disc Brakes

this is one of those annoying features with balljoints. if the nut seizes against the stud thread via dirt/rust before it could tighten against the hub, because the balljoint taper is smooth n round it means the stud could be freely rotated by the nut due to increased friction between nut &...

hi yea i'd tighten balljoint nut first (i think when i last did mine the strut to hub and trackrod end was bolted up and steering lock engaged so that the hub is fixed in place to tighten the balljoint nut). install new lockpin. remove strut to hub bolts, pull hub away far as possible then...
