Right, have successfully swapped the 998cc unit with the 1275 unit, but run into a bit of a snag... 1) The gearbox has a hose coming off but I have no idea where it connects too - any ideas?.. 2) The 1.3 engine has an extra sensor on the block on the side where the thermostat and ignition...

So daft question now, are the liners you referring to actually the casting walls or are they added afterwards? It's so hard to tell with my engine - example 5mm of engine wall and 2mm of engine liner? or just 7mm of engine wall? Giving the option to skim 1mm off the wall and replacing a new...

As you can see from the photo (if the link works) theres 6/7mm of the engine casting before the piston - now I'm not sure if the liner is very visible to you in it, but I can't find it.

Ok, looking overhead at the 4 cylinders. I've got about 7mm of I'm guessing engine casting inbetween each cyclinder. Does that include the liner? If it doesn't, skimming 2mm of each of the castings and getting new liners made up to fit - would that be feasible or is it a case of sticking with...

Has anyone on here got a photo of a k11 with 15inch wheels? (not bothered about what tyres are on, just to get a rough idea) Just looking at tyre options and all the tyres I'll probably be using are 14" or 15", with not many 14" wheels so may have to go for a 15" setup :( Cheers

Right an overdue update. I have (or will be very soon) taking delivery of an ex-formula 1000 rally car. I have still got my silver micra which I will keep modifying as a possible spare roller or depending on cash, another rally car for tarmac events. I have got an astra gte rally car too...
