I did the best I could.. a sanding block and 320 grit wet sandpaper.. sanded in linear motions and kept away from the edges.. baked alkyd enamel.. red scotch brite pads.. Krylon sandable primer.. used two pack primer.. I didnt get any orange peel but I still used 1000 grit wet sandpaper... then...

    Respray looking dull

^I forgot to add... I did that too... I was talking to my neighbour and he reckons that it will blend in soon as despite the oven the laquer takes longer to dry from the inside.. I need to get that glossy glass finish on the bonnet - like the rest of the car.. Confuzzled!

    Respray looking dull

I stripped it, primed it, sprayed it, gave it 3 coats of laquer.. shoved it in the oven.. polished it.. and its still looking flat. The rest of the car looks gleaming and shiny but the bonnet looks a bit dull... from a distance you cant tell but up close you can slightly.. What can I do? Or...

wiring problems with amp and sub

if it doesnt have a remote wire then... connect remote (from amp) to ACC wire.. ignition so it triggers it when you turn the key! +12v other than that my guess is bad Earth or blown fuse.

    Securing down head unit

I was thinking stealth cover or something... get a dud panel with some needles or switches on it... and stick it on as a flip down cover... have the head unit behind it... then again as swiper points out.. some ppl seem to know or can find out.. just a thought anyway... and I agree... more...

    K&N induction kits

I had one on my 1.0 cvt... and I felt that it pulled through the gears more smoothly... downside was foot down and fuel needle went down quicker than it would have without the k&n cone... despite this I felt it was worth it as I didnt have to clean the cone-filter for a long time... so it worked...

    Brake peddle question...

Brake peddle is usually always firm... This week though... when I apply the brakes it will be firm for about an inch... and then it just dips to the floor... and all firmness is lost... The car still stops it just that "OMG are my brakes working?" feeling that I hate...

    Stone chip on bonnet

On closer inspection I found two more chips... but one is quite deep and down to the metal... I've decided to respray the whole bonnet. Lacquer and paint are setting me back £80. Filling won't be any good its too deep and will be quite noticable. Tried another technique off the net... fill...
