    Question: K11 carb conversion

Is that autograss??? i thought the cg10 could be used but the loom had to remain complete and 100% standard engine wise. If you had to use single point then the peugoet 106 was single point system too and the magnetti marelli system is pretty simple to wire up, far more reliable than the MEMS...

    Question: K11 carb conversion

Yes it is but only if you get the turbo carb, they are a sealed unit, a few differences between them. Actually a very underated carb really. The k10 micra autograss boys are also fond of the su carbs (the older 1 1/2) on the ma engines, and they know how to make those engines work well with them...

    Question: K11 carb conversion

kind of on the A-series theme....what about a HIF38 or 44 carb?? They would work very well on the cg i reckon. The 38 came on 93-95 mini sprites whereas the 44 only came on very early 90's coopers and MG metro's. Good carbs and very easy to work on too, needles and jets widely available and...

    Question: K11 carb conversion

i ran a cg10 on a small 28/32 weber in a k10....went like stink with 1300 cams. the manifold was made up originally by the autograss boys in mild steel, they are worth asking as they are constantly tinkering. i still have the manifold, i just cut off the flange and used it as a base for my bike...

Help me solve my idle issues

put a video up of the car running, perhaps if people can see the problem then the remedy may be easier to find?

Help me solve my idle issues

My 2 cents worth, Take injectors out and clean the little filters around the base, sounds like an injector issue to me. Pulling fuses out to cure flooding problems is never a good idea!! Fuel rails can trap rust and dirt, normally this doesnt cause too many problems (except if its an opel, they...

    overfuelling?

If it smells like that when you first start it in the mornings then dont worry about it, that would be pretty normal...its the cold start system working, just like chokes of old. If it continues to smell like that even when hot then i would get it checked out. I would have said faulty lambda...

Auto Gauge Rev Counter or other brand gaugr

Blue wire coming straight out of the dizzy is your feed to the rev gauge (thats how we have our hotrods wired anyway). Thats the quick and easy solution but id imagine the loom in the back of the clocks would have a feed for a tacho too, regardless of whether your car came with one or not...

    Giving a 1.0L a kick

i'm intrigued...what compression ratio were you running??. The reason i ask is that we take 70thou from the heads on the cg10 and rebuild with genuine headgaskets and never suffer with any issues with the bottom end (which is completely standard bar flywheel), in fact never had any issues full...

Event: CG13 on bike carbs, progress

Not as much as you might think! No need for full width adaptor plate, only a 8mm flat plate with 2 holes to pick up original top bell housing bolts and 2 blind bolts which pick up the 2 original toyota holes. this 8mm is taken out of the bellhousing for about 4''. The web at the back of the cg...

    Engine transplant?

Damo is right, its dead easy to do that way, for road use though i would advise putting fuseible link between ecu and your live feed, 40A should be ok. Also, you will need the larger diameter fuel line from the k11, use the original feed pipe as your return pipe then. External pump certainly the...

    Ecu Limp Mode???

Racing at the weekend and after doing alot of work on the head to let it breath better and rev harder i think i have hit a snag. Car hit 8500rpm and just died, no bangs, no warning just stopped. As it was on an oval i just hit the master switch and pulled in, was nearly sure it was something...

    Fuelling issues?

Yes, chip can be swapped to your original key. I'd advise waiting until the garage is 100% sure its that first before you go jumping in though.

    Fuelling issues?

Had a 01 almera 1.4 at work last week, same problem and it was the ecu, no prior warnings just stopped. Took ecu out and opened it up and it was fried inside. Seemingly, its a bit of an issue with certain nissans but i didnt really look further into it. was easy to change ecu/key/ring so fairly...

    gen nissan timing chain kit?

Re-mortgage your house i'd say. Nissan parts are ridiculous price wise!! 3 years ago i had an old k11, only paid 250e for it but the wiper spindles were worn, they cost me 170euros for the 2 !!! i had to inquire did they get them mixed up with something else. Headgaskets are 90euro here so i can...

    Electrical issue

Do the lights come on bright or are they slightly dim?? if they are dim then i'd be inclined to say its an earthing problem. if they come on bright then i would be looking around for a short somewhere, possibly around the area where the rear loom block connector is (afaik, down around the...
