    high revving bike carbed cg13

When i ran a weber on the cg10 engine, i used the k10 electronic dizzy with vacumn advance. the slot drive was modified to take the cg dizzy end and a spacer made up to sit in the head. It was very simple, just 2 wires, and proved capable of maintaining good spark above 8000rpm. i dont have...

Just in case anyone thinks i wrecked a perfectly good k10....this is what i started with hahahaha. Cant beat autograss boys for a bit of butchery, wood in the chassis legs!!! I replaced the cross member with a brand new k11 item and gave hours straightening the chassis legs, it last 5 laps...

    Junior hotrod

Here in Ireland the micra is extremely popular these days for production class racing, for obvious reasons!!. No other 1 litre class car comes close anymore for performance and reliability. People are constantly suprised when they see them in action just how fast they can be made to go around a...

The Manifold i made up in a hour, its rough as a bears arse but i couldnt see the point in making an alloy one until i knew whether it worked or not, you get the idea though. The car is an ep80 starlet, i prefer the starlet for racing, dont ask me why, i cant honestly answer hahahaha. Cg13 on a...

Help me solve my idle issues

Yes daniel, should be a main earth lead from the battery down onto the gearbox, i think this also bolts to the chassis leg too. They are not very strong and salt gets into the core and oxidizes the copper, causing very high resistance....or usually breaking it altogether, Almeras of this vintage...

Help me solve my idle issues

Am just wondering there....is there any danger the ECCS relay is faulty?? when the relay gets a bit of heat into it then is it breaking down the current in the windings??. wild guess but something tells me this is a very simple fix and that you will kick yourself when you find it. Check all your...

K11 engine is hesitant, whats the problem?

Short term, no. effectively all you are doing is causing the ecu to run default settings. You will find that economy will suffer as your engine will not be performing as efficiently as it could. If it is running better with it disconnected then there is no doubt its faulty...as frank quite...

K11 engine is hesitant, whats the problem?

MAF should show as a separate p0100-p0104 code, lean mixture p0170 or p0171. Personally i would have it put on a diagnostic reader with live data capability. Problem is these days is too much emphasis is placed on these codes, people just change what the computer tells them and can in some...

    Head work

My brain is hurting from all this physics......;) All i know is that putting in the extra washer did the trick for me! Another point though to the OP, if you are going to all this hassle then take the time to measure you valve spring free length against the specs. I stripped a head about a...

    High mileage Micra k11

i took a 1.0 engine out of a 94 micra, stuck it in my k10 racer and drove the sh*t out of it....it was only after we were cutting up the donor i spotted that the clock showed 207,000miles !!!! It ran perfect, no rattles and had very good oil pressure. I took the cams out to replace them with...

    K11 Super S...Ignition Points :(

Sorry if i come across all wrong here but, if your cap fell off then why would you be worrying about the timing?? i can only presume that somehow you dizzy fell out altogether. If that happened then the easiest way to set the timing somewhere near right is to put the 12mm bolt in the centre of...

    performance parts?

The only realistic obstacle is your wallet!!! Frank would surely give you some good advice too. Personally, i would raise the compression (head skim, we have 70 thou gone and no issues) genuine head gasket. Double washers under the valve springs, 1300 cams, Free flow exhaust system (de-cat if...
