    1.5 ALMERA 2003 AIRBOX ON A K11 MICRA

Ey up! Missed the 1.5 part. It has to be from an N15 pre-2000 Almera - 1.4 or 1.6. It should look like a 'longer' version of your current k11 airbox. See piccer: Almera airbox is the bottom one...

    1.5 ALMERA 2003 AIRBOX ON A K11 MICRA

Hi! Yes it will work. The airbox fits into the current throttle body. There is a litttle bit of faffing in matching up a bolt, and breathing tube from the engine back into the airbox. You will also need to lower / move the Carbon canister to have it sit flush. You are effectively giving your...

    K11 Dizzy 1.3 2nd Decat

Agreed. Tbh, I was part just smashing it with a hammer to vent - then noticed it was working :D Its this, like, paradox through right? The older and more rusted the car, the 'stronger' the bolts are :|

    K11 Dizzy 1.3 2nd Decat

Updated with pics. Swapped out the exhaust center. A post-dizzy, coilpack pipe can be swapped in for a quick and technically stock swap out. Joints, rubber handles, bolt wholes all line up! But also! F**king rusted on bolts: WD40 overnight = no.... Blowtorch = no.... Angle Grinder = no...

    K11 Dizzy 1.3 2nd Decat

That's my current plan. Have checked the Haynes Manual and tech / service manual and it 'seems' like it should work. There is also a comment made my Frank on this forum from 2009 that says it should work.... Ordered the centre pipe + silencer for a 1.4 cga3de; hoping it fits. Will report back...

    K11 Dizzy 1.3 2nd Decat

Hi All, Hopefully a quick q. Have looked on forums and online for answers, but nothing concrete. I want to get rid of the 2nd Cat on k11 dizzy. Since the coilpacks dont have this 2nd cat, can I just use exhaust mid-pipe from one of those?

    CGA3DE Decat

From what I have read though, you are very unlikely to pass an MOT with just the 2nd cat from a 1.3. Keeping the 1st mani cat and losing the 2nd can get through but not vice versa.

Cool. Thats what Im after, if only to keep the primary cat on - it will have to wait until I can learn to weld. And had a few practice goes with some fromthe scrappy. Till I learn im relying on gaffa tape, cable ties and steel reinforced expoy resin for anything that isnt plug in and play. :D

    North east k11s

Born and raised in Teesside, but now moved to Bournemouth for work... Usually take Nissandra up there every other month to make use of my dads garage and access pit though :D

Cheers Fuzzy. Given the choice, would you prioritise a custom inlet or a exhaust manifold? I imagine both are of roughly equivalent cost but having to build her up piecemeal.

Ahh, cheers for the info. It seems there is no 'easy' inlet manifold upgrade, shame seeing as this is one of the performance bottle necks afaik. Will add this to my build list after an ECU upgrade / professional remap.

Thanks for the tip! Will size up / measure up sticking on an 4efe inlet. GizFab is definitely an inevitability. For the time being, don't want to have to worry about emissions / MOTs so want to keep the main cat in place.

Good to know about the intake. Are there any straight swaps, or near enough? Gizfab is definitely on the cards for the future. Just need to wait until I can justify paying three times the price of my car for one part :D

Hi All! It feels a little late to be joining in on the K11 fun. But, I bought a 95 Micra K11 for £150 4 years ago and fell in love. What started as just trying to keep her going as long as possible (bloody rust) has turned into a full-on obsessive hobby. She now has 115,000 miles and is driving...
