    Kirkynut's 2002 1.0 K11 aka - Mickey/The Sh*tbox

The universal wiring loom for the electric windows arrived today. I've had a quick look and it looks simple enough. The hardest part will be figuring out what pins do what on the original Micra switches so I can use them, then getting the wiring into the doors, through the grommets. Nothing too...

    Kirkynut's 2002 1.0 K11 aka - Mickey/The Sh*tbox

I went through the big box of stuff I have for the electric window conversion last week and getting a universal loom off eBay is going to be the easiest solution. One has been ordered off eBay now. I have the battery off the Jimny I broke in the garage, so I can have it set up off the car ready...

When Radio fuse is removed battery don't go flat!

Or there's one on eBay for £25 delivered, which should work or you'd be able to get your money back I guess. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-Micra-Mi2-K11-Radio-And-Cassette-Player-7646340318-/372920848535 Kirkynut

When Radio fuse is removed battery don't go flat!

Ok, I've still got it. It's a tape/radio with the part number 7646340318 if that's the same as yours, from a 2002 K11. I think I've found the code in my service book but there seems to be a few websites that can get the code for £7.99. If you want it, you can have it. I've no idea how much it...

When Radio fuse is removed battery don't go flat!

The original ones really were poor quality though. The sound is much better with a cheap Sony, Pioneer, Kenwood, JVC etc and they fit straight into the original hole. I might if you're very lucky still have my old one in the bin in my garage. I'll have a look and look for the code in my...

When Radio fuse is removed battery don't go flat!

I think I'd be inclined to put an aftermarket radio in. They're cheap enough these days from Halfords and easy to do. Just make sure you get the older Micra adapter lead from Halfords or buy off of eBay to get the right lead. Kirkynut

    Sam's 1st Project - Kylie the K11

It's nice to see you having a go at stuff and learning. I like the fact that the stuff I learnt years ago at your age you're doing now yet stuff I would find tricky due to not growing up with it and would have to learn you just crack on with - like just knocking out a bracket on a 3d printer...

    Kirkynut's 2002 1.0 K11 aka - Mickey/The Sh*tbox

I'd best replace my spark plugs in the summer as I don't know their history really. Service stamps don't really tell you much information! It's running sweet now though, so I'm not going to rush! I'm looking to get another off roader now I've broken my Jimny and sold all the parts. I'll save a...

    Kirkynut's 2002 1.0 K11 aka - Mickey/The Sh*tbox

My rear wiper worked when I bought it but you had to switch it off in the position you wanted it to park in as it stopped when you switched it off. This didn't really worry me, it was something I could fix in the summer. Or so I thought! The other day the rear screen was filthy, so I flicked...

    Kirkynut's 2002 1.0 K11 aka - Mickey/The Sh*tbox

Nothing to add recently as I've been breaking my Suzuki Jimny off roader and working. The Jimny is done and most parts gone. I spent half a day boxing up the last parts to sell and have sold half of those in principle but still have 2 big sets of off road tyres clogging up my garage /...

    The Mean Green Track Machine

Wow, this is a project and a half! Some people would ask why you'd spend all that money, time and effort on an old Micra but I'm fully with you! ? Good effort! Kirkynut

    Kirkynut's 2002 1.0 K11 aka - Mickey/The Sh*tbox

The brake caliper I freed up was ok but I wasn't happy with it, I could feel it dragging, so some shiny happened! I got some Pagid discs and pads from Euro Car Parts for about £60, so thought it prudent to do the lot for a full front brake refresh. I could have gone cheaper as these are the...

    Kirkynut's 2002 1.0 K11 aka - Mickey/The Sh*tbox

Next summer I'm going to get the Lanoguard lance into the sills and all of the nooks and crannies. I'll perhaps stick some behind the rear side panels so it runs down between the inner and outer arches etc. Right now though the drivers front brake caliper has started to seize. I was hoping it...

    Kirkynut's 2002 1.0 K11 aka - Mickey/The Sh*tbox

Your stiff clutch is likely the cable. Pop a new one on and it will feel easier. Mine stops well. I used to get brake fade on my old 1.3 if I was really on it but I've not experienced it yet on this 1.0 but I've not been able to brake that hard with confidence until I recently replaced the...

    Kirkynut's 2002 1.0 K11 aka - Mickey/The Sh*tbox

He likes folding the seats forward and climbing in. Then once in the back seat he has great visibility in the Micra. He also likes the Klaxon and the starter motor makes a little whirring noise as it starts, which is quite quirky and funny. The whole car is just a bit of lighthearted fun but I...

    Kirkynut's 2002 1.0 K11 aka - Mickey/The Sh*tbox

The other day I picked our boy up from school in the sh*tbox, which he prefers over the Mrs Octavia Vrs! It was raining hard and my wipers were squeeking really loudly and I started to get the hump that such new wiper blades should make so much noise - expensive Bosch ones too! Then when home...
