i had the same power to weight as an evo10 with that engine in and a very lite car 480kgs ,,,what the st weigh 700+ youle need 160hp just to get it to move...lol
i am building another class 2 micra now ready for next year and i would put it up against any k10 even an st
If you gonna get it skimmed you may as well take alot off..we used to take off around 30 thou off the head and 5 off the block face that will give you about 8 more bhp,all that with a good inlet setup and exhaust system you will go from 60bhp@ flywheel to 105bhp@flywheel
s4 is a 1.2 5 speed with a 3.8 diff
s5 is a 1.0 5 speed with a 4.0 diff
v4 is a 1.0 4 speed with a 3.8 diff

With a bit of help from me AVO now do proper suspension kits for all k10,s.So your Not just stuck with the crappy gas kybs or monroe..
The front are 2;1/4" fix or adjustable platform spring seats with 10 setting from hard to soft damping.
And the rears are 1.9 adjustable coil overs with 25...

just make sure that you haven't ground away to much were youve welded because if you have they tend to crack.i no it looks nice when they are smooth but it may crack and blow,one of mine did,and i ended up rewelding it....
By shortening the stick will not give u a quick shift,,you want to cut and extend below the ball joint under the car by about 2" then youle have a quick shift
