Ok well I had no idea it was this bad. The MOT guy has poked all the rusty metal through so there are actually massive holes there now where there were none before! I saw a set of nissan ones on eBay in Dover a few days back. Shame I didn't get time to post it on here. You can pretty easily get ones from VW which are apparently pretty easy to modify the centre bore with a flapper wheel. They look very similar and would look pretty good with the micra logo...

Very nice. I like the idea of a micra rescue centre. Would be good if you could leave misbehaving micras outside it covered in cardboard when you can't handle them anymore or even if you could phone up and get somebody else's micra taken away from them if they're mistreating it.

Thanks for the info. There is no problem with the engine turning off, it does this as it should do. Just need a little poke of the gas to get it going from cold but I'm not sure that's related.
