Well I sorted the battery problem, I'd left the boot light on haha. Thank god the springs as easy as that, on the 106 its integral to the gearbox! :D

Ah well the coolant worked to sort out the temperature, just trying to work out where the water is from, gonna have to jack up and take the splash guard off for a closer look.

Thats a great little conversion! Will be awesome when its done... I'd be quite interested to see how well a 4-EFTE would fit in a micra, as that is already set up for a turbo and there are lots of parts available. (I suppose if your swapping you may as well got for a mega engine though.)

Well, topped up by like a litre of coolant! Ran engine in garage and its coming out of near where the pulley that drives the alternator is, fairly quickly... Guessing this is the waterpump area? ######.

Just nipped to the shop about a mile and a half away, by the time I got there temperature was nearly hot and there wasn't much warm air from the heaters, either the temperature gauge is wrong, or somehow water isn't getting to the radiator or through the system... Agh!

Thanks for the link Ed, I'm not THAT serious! If I had a super turbo or something then I'd consider that, unless I in future to do some serious modifications to this car it isn't worth that, I'll follow your advice and look up some information etc, I'm not after perfection, just a use able road...
