Hi can someone post a good picture of where the distributor sits, sounds daft the pigs timing seems to have gone out for some reason. The distributor when I got the car was just off centre but now the car won't start unless I put the distributor almost over to advanced setting.

I'm after a Early Electronic distributor keep getting offered the ECC ones, which on here I keep getting advised to avoid.

Ah that's ok then as I do extremely long journeys so the exhaust wont get time to build up condensation. got quoted £450 today for a manifold which is out of my league so I will try making one it can't be that hard "Can it?"

That is a really nice inlet manifold I didn't think about making one which went round looks good anyhow

I need one of the standard manifolds till I can get a stainless one made, I had to have mine undone as there was a blow now, the threads were rusty beyond belief and now I have no thread left so the exhaust is dropping and blowing I'm in east anglia

Update time: The car is now running in PN Now it's running in D R 1 2 although at 3/4 of pedal the car stutters. My major concern now is the timing it's advanced to almost the entire bracket, any suggestions appreciated

I've got to agree with Ed on this one I've had the box checked out it's ok.

There are no K10's in any scrapyard near me I've checked. If the carb doesn't fix the problem though according to one of our mechanics it is more than likely going to less the gearbox is dead

Tomorrow I will run the tests if the same happens I will take the box appart and see what the diodes are then speak to an electronics expert I know then get a replacement rebuilt I assume to check the choke I need to remove the cover and spray the element with WD40 or similar, if I am wrong...

Auto I would expect some drop in idle speed when dropped in any drive gear but not as much as im getting. Will keep trying though if it's a blocked jet/breather it may clear itself Going to say for definate that the Carb has failed or is blocked in some way not going to rebuild it as I've...
