Can I apply 12v on it and air pressure down the manifold on a bench to try get it moving again. I assume there all stuck due to not being used the car had been driven very rarely lately. Or should I look for some at the local wreckers.

They all read 11 ohms the Haynes book I think said 10 ohms is good so seem fine in that regard

wish i had seen this before i sent the head off. $200 it cost me but the head looks like its brand new hopefully it runs that way. So how do u guys clean the mating surfaces or what do you use to avoid scratching and damaging the surface? Also should i use liquid gasket with the gasket itself...

OK I did the test myself. only on cylinder 1 both inlet valves don't close 100% and are leaking more then dew. Had a friend pick the head up getting someone he knows to overhaul it for me. Hopefully This is the problem.

How can I check the piston ring if its leaking without pulling the whole engine apart. Stupid question but what if I filled it with water and left it overnight.

Tried some water no luck might just send the head to be overhauled skimmed and whatever they do.Anyone know the cost I'll be looking at I've got valve seals I can give them.
