Ok he says he has checked the timing and all seems ok? now i am lost :(

yeah would you not be able to tell that with the timing gun bud? it was all way up the revs as well not just when on high revs i forgot to put. Might start a thread about this so can give him some options instead of sat here twiddling my thumbso_O

Spent over 4 1/2 hours at the rolling road without a proper run, i didn't see the time going by just ££££ signs:( after first run he noticed it was running very lean. After checking all what he thought it could be all parts seemed to be working as they should be, compression test come back...

how did he diagnose that outcome? not saying its not just would like to know what he did to determine the timing kit is gone for future reference:) Cheers

both chains need replacing bud?

engine swap bud then head off :), this wire was loose all last year was just curious again (especially when its live on the ignition) will go have a look where can put it Cheers

Ok so played around with timing and fingers crossed things will be ok, changed drivers side calliper, bled brakes and that seems to have done the trick, can turn the wheel at least now :) Got one of the doors welded up (well tacked in place) my welding is pretty shoddy so will try pull a favour...

oh yeah hard to tell i know but does the water pump belt look a little tight?

so oil on the bearings and pack the grease around keep it in? If i did keep with the oil idea i would buy the right bearing tools to make it easier tho

Ok due to weather i spent an hr or so having a look if this is possible with any noticeable effects. I managed to get the bearings out cleaned everything up and put back in, i then poured oil in and around the bearings and knocked back together. The hub does now spins a lot more freely than...

cheers for that polly, this is were I'm struggling a little with no tacho just doing it by sound and never really messed with timing before. Will get stuck in to what you advised above (when the rain moves on) get it to where I'm happy then take it to dyno next week, just didn't want to take it...

yeah true, with the other info he has got i hoping he can set it to that, have a few runs with a couple of tweaks hopefully keep the cost down might ask him to get some data for Jordans original question ;)

so really when i went last time all they did is put the timing back to stock because it would of been out slightly due to the work i did? might still go for another blast next week on it tho:p
