it depends what you define things as. My Micra is my road car but competes in events including scatters and 12 cars - road rallies are the next step up from these really. There is no way I would ever lower my car on these events - I know how bumpy etc some of the lanes can be that I have used on...
email me and I'll explain Rob, is probably easiest! But it's quite straightforward, just let me know the details of what you want to compete in etc and I'll let you know which license you'll need.
Stock racing - do you mean stock car racing or circuit racing or what? Very different things...
hms can try but not sure that'll work in my case as I've tried with my keys and Matt's tried with his and they're both different.....I think his are light!
so for a car that is used every day for "normal" driving [currently only about 15 mins total on weekdays but soon to have a round trip commute of about an hour and a half] but is also used for competition should use....?
At the moment I'm competing every other week [autotests] but after that...
Tried to get some Bosch Super 4s but place I get them from [get a discount] only stock NGKs. Getting HT leads next week so might look around for some bosch ones first and give them a try.
I had a similar issue last year which was battery related, where it wouldn't start and then kept dying whilst driving. Sometimes it'd restart when it died but sometimes it wouldn't, a new battery cured that. Am currently having issues [see fuel pump relay thread] with it not wanting to start and...
I've always used NGKs and find them fine, but I do make sure I gap them according to the Haynes Manual. I've got some cheap HT leads though causing me issues so just bought some much better quality ones!
Don't think it was that to be honest as had that before and was different sounds etc than today. This would start over and over again this morning but just die / not idle as soon as it had started which didn't happen when it had flooded previously, then it wouldn't fire at all.
well that's my current plan, ie strip the car I have, and a few months down the line get another daily driver rather than putting miles on the car I want to make a competition car. But interesting to read all other suggestions!
