Yes, it is a Renault engine. Probably worth having a look on a Clio forum to see if they can offer any help. Out of interest, what has gone wrong?

I had heard that the UK cars were to be assembed in the Chennai, India factory. Maybe because that one will be assembling RHD cars for the home market??

Good luck, it will look good on 17"s. I have a 1.5 dci on 16" and lowered 35mm and I have gone to 55 profile tyres to increase the fuel efficiency a bit further. There is no rubbing whatsoever. So 17" on 40 or max 45 profile rubber should be fine. Dont forget to post pics. If they are Eibach...
I put 35mm Eibach springs on mine and have had an annoying clonk everytime the road surface changes. Both Nissan and an independent garage have had a look and cant see anything wrong. Be warned, I am not the only person on here to have the same probs with Eibach springs. grr

It is tyre replacement time on my 35mm lowered micra. The question is will Toyo T1-R fit without rubbing? I prefer to increase the circumference if possible to wring out an extra mpg or two.

Nope, still there, Dodgammit!!!!!!! Argh, it is driving my crazy. It sounds like wishbones, yet there is no play in them............:blues:
Mind you, I got mid 80mpg on the motorway the other day - 50mph limit between j10 and J14 on the M1. (Y)

I got fed up of the clonking and got Nissan to look at it, they have just phoned me to say the sub-frame hadn't been torqued up enough. Fingers crossed....

I have the Eibachs and like other peeps on here I have an annoying clunking from the front - wishbones, anti roll bar mounts? Car is back in the garage to be looked at this weekend. I bought mine through POTN and wouldn't touch them with a pooey stick - no communications, money taken from...
As an electronics engineer, it annoys me that the penny pinching accountants force us to cut the cost of productss to the point where a simple honest mistake can cost thousands where simple protection costs a penny or two........

Not yet. I drove 280 miles at the weekend. It only makes the noise when coasting, not when accelerating or braking.
I had a few peeps look at my car as they passed on the motorway (its a diesel, I like to see what mpg I can get so drive at bang on 70), so I guess it looks a bit different lower...
Thanks, it is the Eibach kit which stated 25mm. I reckon it is probably a bit more though. I am wondering if the sound could be the roll bar or linkages....
