I am not sure the 2 litre would fit to be honest. I was hoping that the changes between the Qashqai and Micra engines wouldnt be too great, hence most of the components would be the same. Don't get me wrong, my micra isn't slow, but I would like a little more oomph. Slam

Our 1.2 did it in the summer during a good run on the motorway. It was one of the few times it was run on standard unleaded. 5 minutes on the hardshoulder and it was fine. It has been run on super unleaded ever since and has been fine????? Slam

Any peeps know the difference to the engine between the 1.5dci engines in the 86bhp Micra and the 105bhp Qashqai. The block is the same, so I presume as an absolute minimum the turbo is larger. Injectors? Camshaft? I wonder how easy it would be to transplant a Qashqai engine into a K12 Micra...

Mine is lowered 35mm and I have 195/50/16. These (just) rub the inner arches at full lock....

Surely the timing chain wouldn't be stretched that much after only 36k? The car would run rougher and rougher as the chain stretched, not the sort of thing to happen overnight. Has the mechanic checked the coil pack? It sounds like you are not getting a spark on the plugs to me, or it is over...

Was toying with HIDs, but a mate told me that the police are pretty hot on stopping non CE marked kits at the moment. I was very wary of fitting brighter filament bulbs (55/65W) after reading about frosting of lense covers on here. Slam
