    Matt Humpries Air Box Filter

Just had a look at the size on this filter. It says it is 285mm x 168mm, but the housing on mine is 270mm long. I do remember the last one bulging outwards before it fell out. Is this common or is mine smaller?

    Matt Humpries Air Box Filter

Hi Does anyone one know what replacement filter goes into the Matt Humpries Air box, unfortunately my Green Cotton Panel Filter fell out during the last rally. I know it needs to be around 270mm x 170mm approx but when ordering a replacement they want to know what car it fits?

    MSA Catch Tank

Thanks to all that replied about the catch tank. The car passed scrutineering anyway and successfully finished the D'isis rally. The car ran well even though we were completely out classed, but brought back fond memories even though a lot slower and front wheel drive compared to my escort days.

    Question: Oil Catch Tank fitting

Hi Frank & Matt Well my Catch Tank arrived today, could have made one out of alu drinks bottle or bought a cheap one but time is limited and would hate for some scrutineer to say "it's to small", so bought regulation sized 1 litre tank from JJC rally with express delivery. Have plumbed it...

Hi Matt Not sure if you had seen my reply to your input to the Catch tank thread. I would like ask if you blocked off the original hose from inlet manifold to the PCV before you attached the new hose which you then T jointed. Regards Peter

    Question: Oil Catch Tank fitting

Hi Frank I have attached Matt's picture below. Sorry I am no mechanic but are you saying that the normal hose that goes from under the carb to the PCV valve on the left of the rocker cover is blocked off and is set up like Matt's or since mine has three connectors can have two separate hoses...

    MSA Catch Tank

I'll try to get a picture tomorrow. In other news Molly went for a shakedown run today. Ignition timing was way off but she still out accelerated the freelander SD4 up to about 60 mph. A couple of wee bits to do (how the hell do you tension the power steering belt without breaking your wrist?)...

    Question: Oil Catch Tank fitting

It sounds like the way Matt Endean has done his but I cant see what happens to existing pipe that seems to come from the inlet manifold to the pcv on the rocker cover. Regards Peter
