sounds like the panel to me.... if it is one without a rev counter you should get one fairly cheap 20-30 quid maybe

Is the aerial plugged in and working? The headunit grounds to the aerail on the micra. If thats a problem you will have to manually earth the black wire from the ISO plug. Also double check the fuse. Ive had a situation where Ive changed the fuse and it still wasnt working... After hours of...

getting the dails out is easy. Two screws for the plastic hood then three screws for the dails. so you could check them... other then that could be the relay mentioned above is damaged (Rather then loose)

I know this is a weird comparison. But if you work into a computer shop, you can buy a cheap crappy chinese router (for example) or a branded say 'netgar' router. Sometimes they will use exactly the same chipset.... So why the £30 price difference?? When each chipset is produced it is tested...

sounds like dodgy relay or earth to me... might be worth checking your headlight plugs havnt melted too

Not all facelifts. Any facelift after 2000 has no speed limiter and hits the limit of 5th gear at about 130mph (1.0) and about 160mph (1.4) Just noticed yours is a 1.3gx so yes you have the top speed limit... sorry :$

Janspeed manifold will cost 200 brand new or 100 off here somewhere. You will get a noticeable difference with this. Also if your clutch is about to die consider a light flywheel or and even a 1.0 gearbox from a 1998+ micra. This will make it accelerate like a go cart and my 1.4 has been off the...
